        "rendered": "One of the important effects of the Recovery program does not appear right away, but months later.\n\nThis story was told to us by Oksana Tryska \u2014 the mother of Andrii, who attended our camp session in 2024.\n\n> \"Before camp, my son hardly spoke. Now he sings the songs he learned there. For the first time after everything we have been through, I hear his voice throughout the whole house.\"\n\nAndrii and his mother evacuated from a frontline area in 2022. Before coming to camp, he was mostly silent and found it hard to connect with peers.\n\nDuring the camp session, he gradually opened up through drawing and through work with our art therapist. On the last day, he sang together with everyone for the first time in the evening circle.\n\nAfter 8 months, he joined the school choir. After a year, he sings solo.\n\nThis is exactly why we do this. Not to \"entertain a child,\" but to **give them their voice back**.",
