Power On — the first snapshot of the week of 05.25–05.28. By Monday and Tuesday — 7 lessons in two schools, ~210 students reached. This report is partial — Wednesday and Thursday are still ahead.
Monday, 05.25 — Lyceum No. 3, Chernivtsi
2 lessons · grades 10-A and 10-B · topic “5 Love Languages” (“Relationships” block).
Two parallel high school classes in one day. The conversation was about how love is not one general “feeling,” but five different ways to express and receive it: words of affirmation, quality time, touch, gifts, acts of service.
The liveliest part is when the class splits into groups and each discusses: “what is my dominant language — and does it match the language of the person I love.” In 10th grade, this is often the first time teens hear that conflict in relationships may be not “lack of love,” but a simple mismatch of channels.
The session was held in the biology classroom — with portraits of classic writers on the walls and an interactive board showing the Kahoot quiz (PIN 76739).
Tuesday, 05.26 — Rynhatska Gymnasium
5 lessons · grades 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 · topic “Smoking. Cigarettes.”
One day — and a full vertical cross-section of the school: from 5th to 9th grade. The topic is the same, but the delivery is different: for 5th graders, the format is adapted for a younger audience (more interactive activities, simpler vocabulary), while for 8th–9th graders, it is the full version with statistics, facts about addiction, and cases.
A key part was the Kahoot quiz about facts teens may have been hearing out loud for the first time: how many years one cigarette takes away, why “light” cigarettes are a marketing myth, what happens in the lungs during the first 20 minutes after smoking.
